Method M Films is an organization for the University of Missouri’s documentary journalism program. As part of our classwork, myself along with six others coded a website for them from scratch. I had worked with the back-end of WordPress previously, but this was the first project that really challenged my knowledge of HTML.
Early in the process, I created wire-frames for what the website would look like, based off sketches we came up with as a group.
When it came to coding, my main page was the front page. I worked on the horizontal scroll bar, standardized the image sizes for the top image rotator, and modified the navigation bar to be pixel-perfect. Working with the nav bar, I did browser testing, trial and error, and wrote custom queries to keep it consistent across browsers and platforms.
